Overview

Discover the VIOFO GPS Module designed for A329, A329S, A229PRO, A229PLUS, and A229Ultra dashcams. This compact accessory adds GPS time, speed, and route data to your recordings, helping you review drives with richer context. It’s easy to install and purpose-built to complement your existing setup without taking up precious cabin space.

What it does

The GPS module synchronizes your dash camera’s time and date with GPS time, so clocks stay aligned across sessions. It also records speed and route data alongside your video, giving you a more complete record of each journey without manual notes.

Real-world uses

  • Commuting: visualize traffic patterns and speed changes with precise timestamps.
  • Road trips: map your route and review transitions, accelerations, and decelerations with contextual data.
  • Delivery or fleet use: capture consistent timing and route details to support post-drive analysis.

Key benefits

  • Time accuracy: GPS time keeps footage aligned with real-world clocks for easy comparison across clips.
  • Velocity context: speed data adds meaningful context when reviewing driving events.
  • Route memory: visualize travel paths on a map overlay paired with video for quick reference.
  • Easy swapping: add a second mount to swap the GPS module between vehicles without reconfiguration.

Compatibility & setup

Compatible with A329, A329S, A229PRO, A229PLUS, and A229Ultra dashcams. Note that this GPS module is not compatible with the older A229 Duo model. To install, attach the module to the dash camera and connect as directed to enable GPS reception in typical driving conditions.
