Stay connected beyond cell coverage

Meet ZOLEO, a rugged satellite communicator that pairs with your smartphone to send texts and emails over the Iridium network. It automatically uses the best available connection—satellite, cellular, or Wi‑Fi—so you can communicate when traditional networks fail. A service plan is required, but you’ll enjoy a flexible, cost-conscious path to reliable messaging on the go.

With a dedicated SMS number and email, you remain reachable even when you’re off the grid. Draft messages on your phone, and ZOLEO carries them through satellite networks back to your contacts, keeping your lines of communication open in remote locations.

How it works

  • Global satellite messaging: Texts and emails travel via the Iridium network, choosing the best available connection.
  • Dedicated contact lines: A personal ZOLEO SMS number and email ensure direct replies, wherever you are.
  • Check-in and location sharing: Send check-ins with optional GPS coordinates embedded in messages or shared as waypoints.
  • Emergency SOS with GPS: Trigger an SOS to a 24/7 monitoring center, with your location shared for faster visibility; Medical Assist is available for non-emergency help.
  • Weather and planning: Access forecasts to help inform decisions during trips and remote work.

Plan highlights

  • Affordable monthly rates from $20 that cover unlimited SOS, check-ins, and Wi‑Fi messages.
  • Rugged design with IP68 durability and over 200 hours of battery life for lengthy adventures.
  • Long messages up to 900 characters and easy device sharing for multiple users.

Why people choose ZOLEO

Whether you’re hiking, sailing, or working far from reliable networks, ZOLEO offers a dependable way to stay in touch and share your location. An optional Field Rescue Membership from Global Rescue adds an extra layer of travel risk management for added peace of mind on demanding trips.
