The HX40 delivers 6W transmit power, with selectable 2.5W or 1W to help conserve battery during longer days. A built-in 600 mW speaker provides clear audio, helping you hear calls and instructions even amid wind and wave noise. The unit runs on a built-in lithium polymer battery (7.4V, 1850mAh), designed for steady use between charges.

Navigate with an easy-to-use menu and a dedicated preset key that recalls up to ten favorite channels. Scanning and Multi-Watch (Dual and Triple Watch) let you monitor calls, weather, and traffic without missing important moments. Quick access to CH16/S (S: Sub-channel) keeps critical channels within reach.

Reception, weather, and entertainment in one compact package

NOAA weather channels with Weather Alert keep you informed of changing conditions, while an FM broadcast receiver (76–108 MHz) adds optional listening during downtime. The HX40 combines essential safety information with on-site entertainment, all in a small, hand-friendly shell.
