Overview

Meet the QINIZX 21S Balancer Board, a compact solution designed to harmonize energy across lithium packs. The unit enables active energy transfer throughout the entire battery, promoting balanced voltages across cells without waiting for a single-string balance. It supports Li-ion, LiFePO4, and LTO chemistries within a working voltage range of 1.8V to 4.5V, making it a versatile choice for diverse pack configurations.

How it works

The balance process uses a flycap-capacitor charge transfer mechanism. When connected, the balancer begins active equalization with ultra-low impedance MOSFETs on a 2 oz copper PCB, delivering a balance current from 0 to 5.5A. The approach favors gentler balancing for small voltage gaps and stronger current when larger gaps exist, helping the whole pack move toward uniformity.

• Balance current: 0–5.5A (the wider the voltage gap, the more current used).
• Quiescent current: ~12–16mA, suitable for mid-to-large packs.

• Ensure proper insulation and correct terminal connections to avoid short circuits. This balancer is backward-compatible for various PDF-guided configurations (e.g., 20S with last line B21+ empty).
