Meet the NETGEAR Nighthawk R7000P AC2300 Router

This Certified Refurbished model is designed for households that juggle gaming, streaming, and several smart devices at once. It combines a dual-core 1 GHz processor with high powered amplifiers and external antennas to deliver stronger signals and reliable coverage up to about 2000 square feet.

With MU-MIMO and Beamforming+ outside of the box, the router can serve multiple devices simultaneously while actively focusing signal toward active clients. The dual-band setup offers AC2300 speeds—up to 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 1625 Mbps on the 5 GHz band—for a balance of range and performance in busy homes.

Key capabilities at a glance

  • Maximum range: up to 2000 sq ft to cover living rooms, hallways, and home offices
  • Fast wifi performance: AC2300 dual-band speeds for streaming, gaming, and browsing
  • Recommended for up to 35 devices: supports laptops, phones, tablets, smart speakers, and cameras
  • Wired ethernet ports: 4 x 1 gigabit ethernet ports for PCs, consoles, and media players
  • USB connections: share a storage drive and printer via USB 3.0 and USB 2.0
  • Security and protection: NETGEAR Armor and Smart Parental Controls (30-day free trials)
  • Smart features: dual-core 1 GHz processor, three amplified antennas, Beamforming+, MU-MIMO, Dynamic QoS, Smart Connect
  • Voice control: Alexa compatibility for quick, hands-free network management

Real-life scenarios you might encounter include streaming 4K video on multiple devices, online gaming with responsive response, and reliable videoconferencing in a home office. The four wired ports help you anchor a gaming console or PC close to the router, while USB sharing makes it easy to access media from any connected device. The combination of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands helps separate high-bandwidth tasks from everyday browsing for smoother performance.

Setup and ongoing use are designed to be straightforward. You can customize guest access, set parental controls, and monitor device activity using the included web tools and mobile app. The refurbished unit brings together core performance with a budget-friendly price, while NETGEAR’s standard features continue to support flexible home networking.
