Product details

Meet the Monoprice WS-7B-62-W, a 6.5-inch weatherproof two-way speaker built for versatile indoor and outdoor use. With an IP65 rating, it stands up to rain and humidity, making it a practical choice for patios, restaurants, bars, and retail spaces where sound should endure the elements. The speaker features a 6.5 inch polypropylene cone woofer paired with a 1 inch silk soft dome tweeter to deliver clarity and even coverage across listening areas.

Power and flexibility for many systems

  • 100 W maximum power handling helps maintain volume in open spaces without strain.
  • Integrated 70V transformer taps plus an 8 ohm tap allow use in commercial installations or traditional home audio setups.
  • 70V parallel wiring simplifies adding multiple units without complex impedance calculations.

Design that makes it easy to aim sound right where you want it

  • Full pan and tilt adjustable mount lets you aim toward dining tables, seating areas, storefronts, or poolside lounges.
  • Gold plated binding posts ensure reliable electrical connections and longevity in busy environments.
  • Rust resistant perforated aluminum grille protects the driver while preserving airflow and fidelity.

The Weatherproof Pro series is sold individually, giving installers the control to tailor a small setup or scale to larger projects. When paired with a suitable amplifier, either a 70V distribution system or a standard home amp with spare channels, it offers flexible deployment options for mixed-use spaces and outdoor rooms.

Real world scenarios you might encounter

  • Outdoor dining patios that need steady, even background music from day to night without weather worry.
  • Retail floors or bars seeking clear ambience and paging capability in a weather-exposed environment.
  • Home decks or garages where weather resistance and compatibility with home audio gear matter.

Practical setup ideas

  • For larger outdoor areas, consider running several WS-7B-62-W speakers in a 70V system, then expand with a compatible speaker selector.
  • If you already have a home audio amplifier with extra channels, use the 8-Ohm tap to add outdoor speakers without a separate 70V amp.
