How many external displays can I run and in which modes?
The MOKiN dock supports up to three external displays on Windows systems using the two HDMI ports plus the DisplayPort. Extended desktop and collage-style arrangements are supported on Windows; MacOS does not support triple external display from this hub.
- Triple display: HDMI + HDMI + DP on compatible Windows laptops.
- Extended mode: combine two HDMI outputs and DP plus the laptop screen for multiple workspaces.
- Note: macOS limits multi-monitor output, so check your Mac model before purchase.
Will this dock fast-charge my laptop and other devices?
The USB-C PD input accepts up to 100W to feed the dock and power a connected laptop; for safety the hub delivers up to 87W to the host device. It also supports charging of PD-capable peripherals from the same connection while running displays and accessories.
- PD in: accepts 100W (20V/5A) charger for powering laptop and hub.
- PD out to laptop: limited to 87W output for safety and compatibility.
- Requires host device with PD protocol to receive charging power.
Which ports handle high-speed data and networking?
The dock provides a combination of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, an RJ45 gigabit Ethernet jack, and dual card readers for fast file access. USB 3.0 ports support up to 5Gbps transfer speeds for external drives and peripherals, while gigabit Ethernet gives reliable wired internet for meetings and large transfers.
- Two USB 3.0 ports plus additional USB 2.0 ports for keyboards, mice, and storage.
- 1000Mbps RJ45 Ethernet for stable, high-speed wired networking.
- SD and TF card slots supporting simultaneous reading of both cards.
Is the hub plug-and-play and which systems are compatible?
Yes — the dock is plug-and-play with no drivers required for typical use. It is designed for Windows laptops with Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C Gen2 ports and is widely compatible with models from Dell, Lenovo, HP and similar brands; full triple-display support is specific to Windows.
- Works with Dell XPS, Lenovo Yoga, Microsoft Surface devices, many HP and other USB-C laptops.
- No extra driver installation needed for basic display, data, and network functions.
- Check your device's USB-C capabilities (Thunderbolt or USB 3.1 Gen2) for maximum performance.
