What you can capture

  • 8K/60P internal RAW video with HDR options (HLG and PQ) for expansive, lifelike footage.
  • 4K and 2K oversampling with 4:2:2 10‑bit color for crisp detail and film-like color grading.
  • Multiple recording formats, including MXF-based XF-AVC and MP4, plus the ability to record two independent video files simultaneously.
  • Slow and fast motion with up to 120p in 4K, enabling dynamic action sequences without cropping.

Autofocus and subject detection

  • Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with ITR AF X and 1,053 AF zones for precise tracking across subjects.
  • Advanced Eye, Face, and Head Detection AF with Animal Detection AF for people, pets, and wildlife.
  • Vehicle subject detection helps track cars and motorcycles for automotive storytelling.

Design and reliability

The EOS R5 C uses an RF-compatible mount and a compact, lightweight body designed for handheld shooting. An integrated cooling system supports extended recording sessions, and a selection of assignable buttons plus timecode I/O helps tailor workflows to professional needs.
