Overview

The Avantree C82 Aura is designed to connect Auracast-enabled hearing aids with USB-C devices such as PCs, tablets, and smartphones. It streams audio with a focus on clarity and minimal delay, offering a streamlined listening experience from everyday devices.

Two listening modes for privacy and sharing

Private Mode provides password protection to create a personal listening space. Open Mode creates a public listening environment for nearby devices. Modes are adjusted via the Avantree Updater on a PC.

  • Private Mode uses password protection to limit access to your session.
  • Open Mode enables simple sharing with compatible Auracast aids in the room.

Multi-listener broadcasting

Powered by Qualcomm QCC Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio and LC3, the C82 Aura can broadcast audio to multiple Auracast hearing aids at once, delivering a stable and responsive signal.

Important compatibility notes

  • Not a classic Bluetooth adapter and does not support Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
  • Limited to USB-C audio sources and does not connect to TVs, cars, or game consoles via USB-C.

Setup and firmware

The unit is firmware upgradeable via the Avantree Updater on a PC, and serves as a USB-C audio adapter for PCs, Macs, tablets, and phones. Keeping firmware current can help maintain compatibility as Auracast tech evolves.
